Writing Music
Music is often essential to my writing process. Mostly I have soft instrumental music playing in the background, such as Tingstad & Rumbel, old Narada and Windham Hill compilations, Enya, Moya Brennan, etc. Their music can be inspirational, and now and then a certain song will pop out as the theme for whatever book I’m working on. For instance, when I started some major revision work on Green Rider, Enya’s “Anywhere Is” became the perfect revision song.
